The conceptual aspect of first half of this video is quite interesting. First and foremost, there is a sense of longing and desire, yet at the same time there is also a sexual component, and a sense of relation to one another. Having stated the themes of the video, there are a couple of other elements that I feel I should point out. First, the element of seeming to be one with the environment and spacial settings that you are inhabiting. Secondly, I should point out the use of smoke, which to me symbolizes the sense of a smoldering relationship, as well as a burning desire to inflict change, passion and personal strength. The third component that strikes me is the actual setting in which the dancers are dancing. The fact that they are stationed in a black room, with little to no furniture seems to juxtapose the passion and connection of the dancers. To see the video, I will post the link below.
